✈️ Tab Group Saver is now TabPilot

I originally built Tab Group Saver in 2021 to fill a gap in Chrome — at the time, there was no way to save tab groups across sessions. Since then, Chrome has added native support for saving tab groups — and that gap has mostly closed. But the real problem hasn't gone away: we still end up overwhelmed by dozens of tabs, unsure what's important or what to do with them.

That's why I'm introducing TabPilot — your AI-powered copilot for tabs. It's designed to help you make sense of the mess, stay focused, and reclaim your browser.

Why the name change?

Tab Group Saver described what the extension did back then. But TabPilot reflects where we're going: not just saving tabs, but actively helping you organize and stay focused — automatically, intelligently, and in context.

It's a small name change, but a big shift in how the product works and what you can expect from it going forward.

What's new?

TabPilot now includes powerful AI-assisted features designed to help you spend less time managing tabs and more time doing actual work.

Here's what's new:

• 👁️ Instant Tab Overview Mode: Press Ctrl+Alt+T to instantly see all of your open tabs and windows — in one clean dashboard.
• 🧠 Smart Suggestions: Get context-aware suggestions to group related tabs, close distractions, or move tabs to relevant spaces.
• 🪄 Apply in One Click: Review a suggestion and hit "Apply" — or just hit "Apply All" and watch the mess clean itself up.
• 📦 Suspend & Save Groups: Keep your tab bar tidy by archiving groups you don't need right now — without losing them.

What's staying the same?

Everything you already rely on from Tab Group Saver is still here: suspending and restoring tab groups, renaming them, managing your windows — it's all intact.

No learning curve. Just a new name, a new icon, and a more powerful tab experience.

What's coming next?

TabPilot will continue to evolve — with more personalization, better group detection, and new features for premium users who want deeper control.
